Arthur Conan Doyle is in his study, haunted by shadows and mysterious voices. He is working on his next great novel and would be making good progress if it were not for the incessant interruptions from his mother, his poor demented father, Dr Watson, Moriarty and other assorted characters clamouring for Sherlock to be revived.
