About
THE WAKE OF YER MAN Based on the award-winning story by Yvonne Heavey A darkly funny Irish play about silence, memory and the stories that shape us. Set in rural Westmeath during the final years before the Celtic Tiger transformed Ireland, The Wake of Yer Man follows fourteen-year-old Polly Moran, a bright, imaginative teenager who dreams of a life far beyond the village she calls home. When one of the community’s most familiar figures dies, the village gathers for an Irish wake where laughter, music, gossip and grief flow as freely as the whiskey.
