About
In Indian tradition, it symbolizes the victory of light over darkness. Homes and places of worship are illuminated with lamps and diyas, signifying the transition from darkness to light. The Indian community in Longford brings a touch of this culture to the town by celebrating Diwali annually. The year 2026 will mark the fourth year of these celebrations in Longford, during which the community aims to honour traditional values while sharing joy and goodwill with the wider Longford community. Brought to you by Samhain in the Heartlands, part of Ireland Home of Halloween.
