About
Gabriel Crouch – director PROGRAMME & PERFORMERS Winter’s House Ireland’s national chamber choir brings a concert of warming winter song to Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. The centrepiece of the concert, Joanna Marsh’s Winter’s Garland, captures the icy wonder of a child’s winter dream, the welcoming glow of lamplit halls at twilight, and the buzz of a midwinter feast. This triptych of seasonal songs is nestled amongst a selection of medieval Irish and Nordic carols, ancient Estonian runic songs, and an Appalachian folk carol.
