About
Urban Shadows by artist Anne Tweed features a collection of intricate drawings that explore the impact of colonisation and modern technology on our delicate ecosystem. The layered landscapes entail a distinct two-part method: first, a detailed rendering of the native bush scape is fully realised, and then geometric 'urban shadows' are overlaid, creating a patina of industrial forms. Merging these two distinct layers into a single visual plane, the pieces reflect the inherent contradictions of our contemporary world. Join for the opening reception Saturday 14 November, 2pm-4pm.
