About
Long before he became a household name in Jurassic Park, Sam Neill starred alongside Isabelle Adjani in Andrzej Żuławski’s unsettling Possession (1981, R18+). Set in a divided Cold War-era Berlin, Possession is a wildly intense exploration of love, jealousy, breakdown and the dissolution of a marriage. Żuławski’s fiercely physical film blurs the boundaries between psychological horror, surrealism and body horror, creating an unforgettable portrait of relationships pushed to the brink.
