About
In 1918, the rebellious founding members of the Twenty Melbourne Painters Society (TMPS) stormed out of the Victorian Artists Society (VAS) in protest at Max Meldrum being unseated as VAS president. The TMPS has flourished ever since as a unique body of professional artists. Even today, members can trace their connections to the founding members and the Meldrum School. Following 2024's Return to Albert St exhibition, the 108th Annual Exhibition showcases the present members’ work in the stunningly renovated VAS Galleries.
