About

Acts of Memory opens as the sound of a powder flash ignites, bringing to life a photograph taken in the reading room of a public archive in Dublin, Ireland, frozen in time since 1914. This moment acknowledges a vanished past; neither the figures captured in the photo, the building nor its contents, remain. Winner of Best Experimental at Nice's C'est Trop Courts Festival, this 28-minute film reflects on how we preserve and reconstruct cultural memory when archives are lost to war. Experience powerful storytelling from one of Tyrone's own, followed by questions and answer session with Mairéad.
