About

Amano is a singer and multidisciplinary artist with roots in Kerry and Kyūshū (Japan). Her live performances attune to people, place and season, blending Irish sean-nós with contemporary fusion, new folk compositions and spoken word. She approaches music through an animistic worldview where the songs and stories of tradition are co-created and alive; not only in our human experiences but within the greater-than-human ecosystem too.
